Over the past decade, we have deepened our mission: to connect the most passionate and forward-thinking independent travel professionals shaping Latin America. At the heart of this movement is REMOTE Immersion — a deliberately intimate travel gathering set in extraordinary, remote destinations, where meaningful connections take root.
We venture beyond established travel routes to explore authentic, transformative paths.
We foster connection. We select destinations and design encounters that cultivate lifelong business relationships.
We are united by strong bonds that connect us to one another and Latin America.
It is remarkable to think that ten years have gone by and that we have managed to keep our events intentionally intimate, prioritizing meaningful connections over scale. After traveling to so many extraordinary destinations in Latin America alongside our community of passionate experts in high-end hospitality, as we celebrate our first decade, we are convinced that the best way forward is to keep doing exactly what we have done so far.

Since its inception, REMOTE Latin America has prized a concern for the destinations we visit and the impacts we generate as central to our values. Over the past decade, we have evolved our approach, recognizing that our role goes beyond minimizing impacts to creating positive benefits for host communities.
To support the communities that open their doors to us, REMOTE has developed initiatives to give back. In Barichara, Colombia, we launched REMOTE Legacy, which became one of the main pillars of our impact strategy. Since then, every edition has brought together local tourism professionals, students and residents for free, open talks on responsible tourism in the local language, creating a space for connection with locals.
At REMOTE Immersion Cuenca in 2023, we implemented our first structured sustainability strategy in collaboration with the Chilean NGO Regenera. Inspired by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s standards and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, it was designed to be an evolving process based on active listening and adapted to each destination’s realities and challenges.
We began engaging with local suppliers through short consultations on sustainability to identify opportunities for strengthening responsible practices, improving operations and co-creating solutions suited to each place.
This collaborative approach has helped us shape our events around clear priorities, as part of an ongoing journey toward sustainability and regeneration.

Eliminating single-use plastics and disposable materials wherever possible.

Optimizing energy and water use across all operations.

Prioritizing suppliers who lead with sustainability and purpose.

Honoring and weaving local heritage into the heart of our events.

Creating lasting benefits through deep, meaningful local engagement.

Crafting content that inspires awareness and drives real impact.

Proactively minimizing our environmental impact.

Achieving low-carbon excellence through permanent measurement and offsetting.
