Ten years ago, REMOTE Latin America was born from a powerful intention: to bring together, in one place, some of the world’s most passionate travel minds to celebrate and elevate Latin America through an innovative event format. From the very beginning, our itinerant gathering, REMOTE Immersion, has been about much more than business. It has been about fostering meaningful, lasting human connections while uncovering the remote, off-the-beaten-path destinations that define the richness and diversity of our region.
As we commemorate our tenth anniversary, and in the spirit of honoring our innovative DNA while staying attuned to the evolving demands of high-end travel, we are proud to introduce our newest initiative: REMOTE Expedition — a small, even more exclusive and immersive gathering designed for industry professionals who value depth over scale, careful curation, and experiences that go beyond the obvious.
More than simply attending an event, REMOTE Expedition invites participants to step into a destination with openness, curiosity, and a shared commitment to help shape the future of tourism in the region.
Like a true expedition, the event is centered on exploring and uncovering a single destination or country through its stories, landscapes, and people. Across two key moments — the Pre-Expedition Fam Trips and the REMOTE Expedition Encounter — participants will discover the charm of unique, off-the-beaten-path destinations, with the opportunity to go deeper into the territory through transformative experiences and authentic local narratives.

In our most exclusive and intimate format, the invitation-only gathering will bring together around 25 region-specialized exhibitors and 25 carefully curated high-end travel advisors specializing in tailor-made, small-scale travel.
As part of REMOTE Expedition, they will meet in extraordinary settings — places so remote and special that they can only host a gathering that is intentionally small and thoughtfully designed.
For its debut, from October 23 to 30, 2026, REMOTE Expedition will venture into the remarkable, lesser-explored corners of Peru: remote regions, ancient cultures, and places where luxury is defined by authenticity.
Travel designers will be invited to explore five astonishing regions of the country through Pre-Expedition Trips carefully crafted by local partners: Nasca and Paracas; Cusco to Colca; Lake Titicaca and Tinajani Canyon; Chachapoyas; and Huascarán National Park.

The journey will then continue to the impressive Colca Valley, home to one of the world’s deepest canyons and a landscape shaped by centuries of living Andean culture. Traditional communities, dramatic scenery, and a strong sense of place create a powerful setting for meaningful exchange.
It is here that REMOTERS will gather for three days of REMOTE Expedition Encounter, featuring one-on-one meetings, immersive destination experiences, discussion sessions, and time to unwind and connect socially.
True to the spirit of REMOTE, we continue to choose destinations that invite reflection, encourage strong relationships, and remind us why travel, when done thoughtfully, still has the power to transform.

Peru: Our Host Destination for REMOTE Expedition 2026
As the Host Destination of the first REMOTE Expedition, PROMPERÚ — the Peruvian Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism — will guide us through this extraordinary journey across Peru.
The country welcomes us with remarkable cultural depth and geographic diversity, stretching from the Pacific coast to the Andes and the Amazon. Here, landscapes and living traditions come together to shape some of Latin America’s most distinctive travel experiences.
Ancient civilizations, contemporary creativity, and one of the world’s most celebrated culinary scenes coexist in powerful harmony, defining Peru as a destination of true depth and character.

PROMPERÚ is pleased to support the inaugural edition of REMOTE Expedition in Peru, an initiative that will allow international travel advisors to experience the diversity, authenticity, and cultural richness of our destinations. Through this event, Peru reaffirms its position as a leading destination for high-end, experience-driven travel in Latin America.
Our Expedition will embrace this diversity and depth, taking us through:
- Nazca and Paracas, where enigmatic desert geoglyphs meet a wildlife-rich Pacific coastline.
- Cusco to Colca Canyon, tracing the legacy of the Inca through an off-the-beaten-path Andean mini-adventure.
- Lake Titicaca and Tinajani Canyon, a journey into high-altitude cultures surrounded by surreal stone formations.
- Chachapoyas and the Amazon, a gateway to cloud-forest archaeology and the mysteries of the ancient Chachapoya civilization.
- Huaraz and Huascarán National Park, a spectacular realm of glaciers, turquoise lakes, and towering peaks in the Cordillera Blanca.
