REMOTE Talks & Seeds Boquete: Celebrating Latin Pride

March 25, 2026

Latin America is having a moment. Across the globe, travelers are increasingly drawn to the region’s extraordinary diversity — from the Amazon rainforest to the Andes, from the wildlife of the Galápagos Islands to the windswept landscapes of Patagonia, and from vibrant music and dance to cuisines that have become global icons. This richness of nature, culture, and ways of life has long been at the heart of REMOTE Latin America’s mission: to celebrate the region through small-scale, meaningful travel experiences that honor its people and landscapes.

As proud Latinos, REMOTE has championed this unique region on the global stage since 2016. Acting as ambassadors for Latin America, we have cultivated a community of passionate advocates, grounded in the belief that we are stronger together.

As REMOTE Immersion celebrates its 10th anniversary, there is no better moment to embrace this spirit through the theme The Rise of Orgullo Latino

Inspired by this idea, the REMOTE Talks & Seeds sessions will spotlight inspiring voices who see Latin American authenticity not as a marketing concept, but as a genuine mission. Their stories highlight a region shaped by ancestral knowledge, cultural fusion, and astonishing biodiversity — and remind us why welcoming conscious travelers to experience Latin America is a source of great pride for those who call it home.

Guardians of Argentine Pride: Gaucho Cultural Heritage

KEVIN BEGG (ARG) – Estancia Los Potreros

After working for years as an international banking executive living in major hubs like London, Madrid and Hong Kong, Kevin Begg returned to his family’s historic ranch in the Sierras Chicas of Córdoba, Argentina. What began as a brief weekend visit during a business trip turned into a life-changing event, reconnecting him with gaucho culture. He decided to leave finance behind and opened the beautiful Estancia Los Potreros as an authentic working cattle ranch and boutique hospitality experience. Always on horseback and wearing his trademark boina, Kevin has spent the past 25 years embracing a personal mission: to preserve one of Argentina’s greatest cultural legacies, as iconic as the tango, Argentine wine or beef: the gaucho way of life.

From Adventure Travel to Trek-to-Table Cuisine: A Journey Through Panama’s Nature

ROLANDO CHAMORRO (PAN) – Hacienda Mamecillo

When adventure travel entrepreneur Rolando Chamorro’s remote farm-based restaurant was featured in the National Geographic docuseries Restaurants at the End of the World in 2023, he was just trying to lead a calm, sustainable rural life with his wife and two kids in the cloud forests of Boquete, far from his bustling hometown, Panama City. The suddenly famous, tiny “trek-to-table” experiences he shares at home in Hacienda Mamecillo provoked a metamorphosis — evolving the rustic meals and great coffee he once offered into authentic fine gastronomy. Despite never having studied culinary arts, Chamorro became a true Chiriquí ambassador thanks to his passion for Panama’s biodiversity.

Key topics will include:

  • The strengthening of nature-based, cultural, and wellness tourism.
