After months of careful consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our immersive event REMOTE Cafayate 2020, which was scheduled to take place in Northern Argentina from October 5th to 8th.
It was not an easy decision. Our team works year-round to prepare and make our four-day boutique travel show an outstanding experience. We’re disappointed that, in 2020, we won’t be able to host our special selected audience of hoteliers and local experts from Latin America, as well as travel designers from all over the world.
But the health and safety of our participants are our number one priority.

At this point, we cannot be certain that there will be safe and comfortable conditions for a gathering of around 180 people in beautiful Cafayate with so many travel restrictions still in effect.
And since we also can’t guarantee whether or not new peaks of the disease and mandatory lockdowns will occur in the next few months, we decided to reschedule REMOTE Cafayate for October 4th to 7th, 2021. We believe that, by that point, during one of the best seasons of the year to enjoy that amazing place in good weather, our participants will feel confident to travel and use their financial resources after the hardships caused by the pandemic.

In order to provide an alternative environment for connections between travel leaders specialized in Latin America in these uncertain times, we would also like to take this opportunity to announce our first REMOTE Latin America Online Travel Show. It will be held on the dates originally planned for REMOTE Cafayate 2020 – October 5th to 8th. And though it could never replace the in-person meetings that we love, it’s a chance to keep us all together, updated on trends and promoting fair business in this new era of tourism.

This is the biggest challenge the travel industry has faced in recent times, and we will keep working hard to strengthen our REMOTE Community more than ever. This pandemic has confirmed the power of human connections for us all, something in which we have always believed and the foundation upon which REMOTE Latin America was built. It will be less difficult for us to make this journey if we stay connected. We’re stronger together.

We appreciate the understanding and support of every single member, partner, sponsor and guest that has helped us build our beautiful story so far.
And we’re looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming events, be they online or off.
