How governments can support travel industry

A very interesting article suggesting four ways in which governments can reimagine their role in the tourism sector in the context of COVID-19 was recently released by McKinsey & Company.

“Reimagining the $9 trillion tourism economy—what will it take?” analyses the unprecedented crisis for the tourism industry, in which international tourist arrivals are projected to plunge until 80 percent in 2020.

Written by Margaux Constantin, Steve Saxon and Jackey Yu, the article suggests partnerships between governments and the tourism industry are necessary for the recovery in a safe way.
