Continuing our explorations of the most extraordinary remote corners of Latin America, we came across Puyehue, a small commune in Chile’s Lake District set to enchant any adventurer and convince travelers of the healing power of nature. It was destiny! We quickly realized that this marvelous place amid verdant landscapes, lakes and volcanoes would be ideal for our next and already highly-anticipated REMOTE Immersion, scheduled for October 14 – 17, 2024.
Part of the Osorno province, Puyehue contains thousands of acres of untouched nature, with Valdivian temperate forests, meltwater lakes, crystal-clear rivers and native species, all awaiting us for great adventures. Scenic routes, forest trails, waterfalls, volcanoes and thermal springs will serve as settings for our amazing and active days of business meetings and local experiences.

Puyehue is a year-round destination for experiencing connections with nature, adventure, wellness and regeneration. There’s always something new to be explored, either by bicycle, on foot or horseback riding. Strategically located just north of Chilean Patagonia and a few kilometers from the border with Argentine Patagonia, it’s a place that also inspires short trips, ideal for our REMOTE Immersion pre and post-tours.
We’re excited to show you more about our new host destination in the coming months!
Ancient natural healing at Termas Puyehue
Puyehue is a word in Mapudungun (the language of the Mapuche indigenous people). Puye means “river fish from the Pilmaiquen River and Lake Puyehue,” while hue means “place.” The Mapuche-Huichille, the original inhabitants and true guardians of this land, continue to share their legends throughout the region, which are reflected in the names of waterfalls and forests.
Long before us, the Mapuche had already attested to the healing power of rituals, thermal waters and herbs. And we will be there to prove it too. The therapeutic properties of the Puyehue Hot Springs, discovered at the beginning of the 17 th century, and the trails that reveal the magic of the surrounding protected areas invite visitors to combine adventure and well-being in the middle of nature.
Located in the heart of the lush Puyehue National Park, the historic Hotel Termas Puyehue is set to be our headquarters for REMOTE Puyehue 2024. It’s the perfect natural sanctuary for immersion in care for body, mind and planet. A place where people are invited to recognize that they too are part of nature and discover the most inspiring ways to connect with it!
One of Chile’s best-kept secrets, Puyehue is still largely unknown to international tourism. As in previous years, we’re ready to explore this special destination and put it on the map of international travelers in a conscious, responsible way, encouraging the development of positive-impact tourism.
This year, we have the essential support of Fedetur – Federación de Empresas de Turismo de Chile, Sernatur – the National Tourism Board of Chile, the Tánica group and the Hotel Termas de Puyehue. Together, we’re ready to put on an epic, inspiring edition of the REMOTE Immersion.
We can’t wait to share more extraordinary moments with our Community, this time embraced by the unique nature of Puyehue!
